Sometimes the small things in life can be the most annoying. For example, when visiting the local cafeteria, why do they serve meals onto Styrofoam clamshell packages instead of onto washable, reusable plates?  A friend of mine asked one day, and was told: “We can’t use these Styrofoam containers in California anymore, so they were all shipped to Texas.” 

Good job, California- it looks like someone took an initiative there to reduce the Styrofoam consumption.  What a shame the foam nightmares were then just shipped out to us.  We’re working on getting them removed from our cafeteria here.  Look out Rhode Island, these containers might be coming to a cafeteria near you!
