Green Leaf Report

Today a small man destroyed my cell phone through the careful pouring of kool-aid.  His aim was very precise and he went through most of the cup before we caught him.  This means I now move onto my third cell phone in a year, following the great chocolate milk debacle of December 2005.  Which raises the question, where do the electronics go, following the cell phone reclamation plans of the major carriers?  I worry that one or two components are removed, and the rest is trashed.  Or, even worse, nothing is reused and the entire phone joins the landfill.  Integrated circuits are the backbone of our culture, but they make it cheaper to start over with a new items than to fix the old.  How do we avoid this situation?
