More Texans should pay attention to TXU and their cowboy, coal-burning ways.  Mindy S. Lubber of Ceres wrote an interesting analysis of TXU’s plans to build 11 new coal plants in North Texas for the Fort Worth Star Telegram.  I send this article to everyone I know; how can any business sacrifice long-term environmental concerns for a short-term ROI analysis that’s only valid if the current political envirnment stays exactly the same?  I hope TXU only put out that release to draw additional investment from the surrounding business community to help offset a renewable energy investment. That could be a clever strategy: help us offset the wind farm costs or we’ll turn your kids’ air gray.
